How do I apply for local tax exemptions?
There are several local exemptions that residents can apply for:

- Senior Citizens' Exemption – you may be eligible (on a sliding scale basis) if you are a senior citizen 65 years of age or older by December 31, and meet income limitations.
- Disability Exemption – you may qualify if you can provide documentation of a disability, and meet income limitations.
- Alternative Veterans' Exemption – you may be entitled if you are an American veteran during a qualified period of war.
- Cold War Veterans' Exemption – you may qualify if you did not meet the "qualified periods of war" required for the Alternative Veterans' Exemption, but served during the Cold War period.
