Court Jurisdiction

The Town Court has jurisdiction over the following matters:

• Criminal offenses committed within the unincorporated area of the Town(includes a portion of I-95)
• Landlord / tenant proceedings
• Original civil actions limited to $3,000
• Small claims limited to $3,000
• Traffic and parking offenses committed within the unincorporated area of the Town (includes a portion of I-95)
• Violations of Town Ordinances / State and County Codes

Please note that:

• All misdemeanor charges require a Court appearance.
• In all court cases defendants are responsible for notifying the Court of any address changes.
